I enjoyed this article immensely. Perhaps it's because I have seen the same phenomenon taking place in the world of time management / personal productivity.

The unfortunate result is that thousands of hours are spent on CSRM-friendly hypotheses that have no value in the real world.

And practical books written about the real world are ignored by academics.

This all adds up a ton of wasted human effort, which is unfortunate.
