Great article. The question people who have tried the technique and seen it work to some degree ask — How can I get the approach to scale, so that on the 20th day, I’m not tired and fed up of changing my schedule every time something unexpected happens?

In your article, you stuck with manual methods. But there’s another emerging — the use of an auto-scheduler like SkedPal or TimeTo. At ScheduleU.org we are studying how to use both approaches and recommend that people make the transition from manual to auto-scheduling as soon as block-scheduling becomes a burden.

Unfortunately, most people quit the technique when this happens and go back to making lists, which just won’t work for people with lots of tasks and the consequent time shortage.
