At the moment, many companies are promoting the idea of a separate "sustainability strategy." I agree that it needs to be included in core business strategy. in fact, Alex Edmans argues that such a focus is far less important than a focus on long-term value, which always needs to be important.

It's just that companies have forgotten this fact, or their behavior suggests that short-term thinking is necessary, but long-term thinking is an optional nice-to-have.
